At Enlighten Academy, we specialize in helping families start or continue homeschooling in California, by offering legal covering, administrative support, and homeschool coaching for your family. We have recently expanded to help families throughout the United States.

 

We know that starting the homeschooling journey can be stressful and confusing, but it doesn’t have to be. We take the guesswork out of homeschooling so you can feel confident about homeschooling your student from day 1 through graduation. It takes a village to homeschool, and we want to be a part of yours.

Legal Coverage

  • Enlighten Academy is a private school satellite program that offers a legal umbrella for homeschooling in California.

  • Enlighten Academy takes care of all the paperwork, handling everything from enrollment forms to record-keeping so you can focus on your child's education without the administrative headache.

  • Book a free 15 minute consultation with an expert homeschool advisor. We'll walk you through different options, plans, how to get started, and tips for being successful while homeschooling.

  • We provide a Getting Started 1-on-1 meeting to set you up for success.

Additional Services

  • We offer a self-paced curriculum focused on learning instead of busywork. Student learn through bite-sized lessons that use maps, graphs, pictures, and illustrations to make the information come alive. 

     

    We meet you 1-on-1 to map out the classes they need to fulfill their academic requirements. We do the heavy lifting by providing subject experts to teach your students, as well as provide the planning and grading for you.

    If you use our curriculum, you will turn in zero paperwork throughout the year. We handle everything for you.

  • We offer live classes for Math, Science, English, and History. The live classes can be taken with or without our curriculum.

We offer homeschool experts to guide you, answer your questions, and help you save time and money while homeschooling. My name is Dawn Reitz and I am the Enlighten Academy Homeschool Director. I am in my 15th year of homeschooling, and before that, I taught elementary school for 10 years. I am so excited to get to know each of you and look forward to supporting you and your family.

Benefits of a PSP

When you sign up to homeschool with Enlighten Academy, you maintain the freedom to teach your student in the way they learn best while having your families personal information kept confidential. 

​

The PSP administrator manages the records required by California's Department of Education, as well as checks in periodically to maintain progress and accountability. A PSP is a private school which has filed an affidavit with the state, meaning that the PSP is now operating as a private school in the state of California. This allows you to focus on your student while we handle everything else.


Think of us as the front office/admissions office for your home school. While you’re getting started, we’re taking care of your student’s transfer and setting up your student’s records. We’re here to answer your questions, help you find the resources you need, and assist in a smooth transition for your student.

 

Being a part of our homeschool PSP means that you have access to a supportive community of homeschoolers who share the same goal to provide meaningful learning experiences for our children.
